When the question is how old aircrafts are; answer should be more align with when it is built not when it is acquired...these ariframes are very old. Even the design is from 60's Mirage III/IVs and the engines are from F4sComment

Actually, the F-7 is a license-built version of the MIG-21 and is manufactured in China. Thus it's the Chinese version of the Soviet MIG-21.Comment

It was being used as parts for the other one, but now it's being repaired back into service. It's currently undergoing a full service and schedule, and will also have a newly painted look. Registration was be SCH-881 hopefully. It's being repaired as the SLAF Hangar at Katunayake. It will fly back soon!Comment

Thanks for the info! Do you know any dates it will be back? Like around when? Also wasn't the SLAF planning on purchasing new C-130.
