Peter R Foster visited the Sri Lankan Air Force and discovered the impact that the Ukrainian War was having on the ability to keep aircraft flying.
According to the article above, a majority of SLAF's Russian/Ukrainian sourced aircraft are non-operational, including all the AN-32s and many of the Mil MI-17s.Comment

Wariyapola, March 21 (Daily Mirror) - A Chinese K-8 trainer jet of the Sri Lanka Air Force crash-landed in Wariyapola a short while ago, the Sri Lanka Air Force reported.
It is reported that the aircraft, which had taken off from the China Bay Air Force Base in Trincomalee, lost radar contact before the crash.
They said that the pilot and co-pilot ejected from the aircraft before the crash.​Comment

It is reported that the aircraft, which had taken off from the China Bay Air Force Base in Trincomalee, lost radar contact before the crash.
They said that the pilot and co-pilot ejected from the aircraft before the crash.​

A SLAF K-8 jet trainer crashed in Wariyapola during a training flight after it encountered an emergency. Both pilots ejected from the aircraft.

Good morning All!
SLAF is readying to overhaul two Mi17 helicopters and two choppers will be sent to Georgia under USD 18 Mn contract for total of four Choppers.
SLAF has completed One Kfir Jet (Now, Kfir C12) under the Kfir fleet upgrade and overhaul program with IAI (USD 49 Mn), and its under testing phase.
US Navy granted ten TH57 Sea Ranger training and utility helicopters will arrive Colombo by May.

The airshow for the 75th anniversary of SLAF started today, and featured a lot of aircraft:
including, but NOT limited to:
5x B412(including SUH-522)
3x PT-6
3x Y12(SCL-3124, SCL-3126, SCL 3128)
1x(or 4x) C152(4R-LWB, ..)
1x(or 2x) K-8
1x J-7?(not sure whether it's a K-8 instead or not)
1x A320(4R-ABM)
1x C208(4R-DPA)
1x R66(4R-ASK)
2x B350/B200
please pitch in if I've missed any because:
a) I wasn't in the venue(these were all that I spotted from another place)
b) I might have missed some.
