So, um, what is happening with 4R-ANC, first A321neo? No news nor no flight information. Still awaiting engine installation? Is it still facing that Pratt and Whitney engine problem or so? What's happening with 4R-AND as well, 2nd A321neo?

I thought UL A321neo was LEAP -1A powered, just like their A320neos.

Any reason why they went with P&W?

                  Yes, I checked it.

A321-251N, which is the version UL is getting has LEAP-1A.

On March 1, 2017, EASA granted its Type Certificate to the Airbus A321-251N model. The EASA Type Certificate was handed over in Madrid by Large Transport Aeroplanes Project Certification Manager Giuseppe Scannapieco to Airbus Senior Vice President A320 Family Programme, Klaus Roewe and Airbus A320 Family Programme Chief Engineer, Pierre-Henri Brousse. The concurrent FAA validation was achieved on the same day and the FAA Type Certificate was handed over on behalf of Jeff Duven, Manager of the Transport Airplane Directorate.

Have you got any news on 4R-ALS, we should have received it by now if the delivery procedure would have all gone normally.

Airlines are up in arms over planned moves by SriLankan Airlines to jack up ground handling charges at the Bandaranaike International Airport by as much as 30%. Industry sources said the quantum of the hike was unwarranted and unjustifiable and SriLankan was simply trying to take other airlines for a “mistaken” ride.  At present SriLankan holds the monopoly of ground handli ..

Not related to aviation, but there is a nice shot of a UL 332 under lightning conditions in this article. Some free publicity to UL as this is the image in the BBC homepage for today.

For every 10 people hit by lightning, nine will survive. What happens to the body when a bolt strikes, and how likely is it to happen? Charlotte Huff investigates.

                            Looks like BIA?

                                Hi Rahal,

SriLankan A333 (4R-ALN) is not flying since 19-May and A321 (4R-ABQ) also not flying recently.

Do you know why these aircraft are not flying ? Do you know if any A330 leaving the SriLankan fleet this year and next year? Any updates on painting ex Mihin Lanka fleet?

                                Thank you
