According to CMB website, there are two Sriwijaya aircraft are expected to arrive at CMB from Indonesia in next few hours. Is it hajj flights? If SV781 is flying directly to MED, this would definitely be a Charter flight for Umrah Pilgrims, Siriwijaya Airlines operates inbound flights from Medan (KNO) and Jakarta (CGK) to facilitate Umrah/Hajj Pilgrims who transit in CMB and fly onward to MED/JED on Chartered Saudia flights
Any record of any flights coming in from Indonesia?Attached FilesComment

The Inbound charter flights are indeed for Umrah Pilgrims en-route to Jeddah (JED) probably Madinah (MED). With the Umrah Pilgrimage season starting we'd see more of Sriwijaya's 737-800's at CMB in the next couple of months.- Aaqib Hussain

Qantas extends SriLankan Airlines codeshare agreement, adds six new destinations
Qantas and Sri Lankan Airlines have announced they will codeshare on six new destinations, opening up more possibilities for Aussie travellers on both airlines.
Commencing 18 December, Sri Lankan Airlines will adopt the QF code on its Colombo to Bangkok route, which operates three times daily, as well as its Colombo to Hong Kong route, which operates five times weekly.
For Aussies, this offers the chance to country-hop on the Qantas brand, hopping into Colombo and beyond on the flying kangaroo.
On the flip side, Qantas will adopt the UL code on its Melbourne to Sydney, Melbourne to Brisbane, Melbourne to Adelaide and Melbourne to Auckland routes.
This announcement comes less than a month after Sri Lankan Airlines recommenced daily, direct flights between Colombo and Melbourne enabling seamless connections between Colombo and Australia and New Zealand's major cities.
Being oneworld points partners, SriLankan Airlines flights are already eligible to earn Qantas points and status credits and are eligible for classic flights rewards, though not for points plus pay flights. Passengers also reap the benefits of lounge access across both airlines.
Flights are available to book now through the Qantas and Sri Lankan Airlines websites.

AirAsia's Tony Fernandes praises Sri Lanka, after reports of talks
Boss of Malaysia's AirAsia Tony Fernandes tweeted praise for Sri Lanka following reports that the budget carrier was in talks to set up a joint venture airline and help build a budget terminal in the island.
"Applause to countries like Sri Lanka who realise that not one airport fits all," Fernandez said in a post on twitter.com.
Sri Lanka's The Sunday Times newspaper said AirAsia had met senior ministers and a high powered economic policy committee to make the case for a joint venture airline.
The building of a 70 to 100 million dollar, budget airport terminal was also discussed the report said.
"Malaysia led the way with LCCT in KLIA and KKIA," Fernandes tweeted, referring to budget terminals in Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia.
"And look at what we created. Largest low cost airline in [A]sia and huge [Tourism] and Job creator."

Good news if it's been materialised ! Flight info of TK's CMB nonstop flights are yet to be updated on Amadeus & TK Website. I believe TK has very good demand on IST-MLE. May be that's the reason TK wants to split the MLE & CMB. Any chance TK is maintaining the daily frequency to CMB when it does operate the nonstop flights next year ?Comment

Last year Garuda's Y360 configured old A333s were refuelling at CMB since their old A333s can't carry full fuel and 360pax on it's journey between Indonesia & Saudi without a stopover for refuelling. Any chance Garuda would re-fuelling at CMB this year for umrah flights ?Comment
