GAN has a demand for tourists and cargo, and the direct flights are operating from only CMB and MLE. Prior to commencement of UL passenger flights, 8D used to operate dedicated freighter flights to GAN. I am curious to know what's UL's load factor to GAN on the other days?

      Yeah forgot.

Maybe the belly had enough cargo to fly the plane

Next time, pilots need to announce, the flights are empty but the belly is full, so don't make it a big news..

Probably weather related. Quite heavy rain around CMB

If I was a bit smart, I will refuse to pay the penalty fee, and walk away.

It worked for one other Asian country, where a western company greased the palms of the decision makers. The next leader in charge boldly said the deal is corrupt, we are not honoring this, go fly a kit, I will pay 70% of the value of the deal, take it or leave it. Or we keep suing each other for the next 10 years or more ..

Guess what the western company did ? They took it. And walked off, than get nothing ..

Wouldn't Airbus be more accomodating than a leasing firm and let the deposits be transferred to something else like Virgin from the 380 to 350 somewhere down the line? The 332s comes to mind as they are nearly 20 years (provided we still need this many widebodies)

You're looking at a very different situation.

My guess is that there is a signed contract without a termination clause.

The exact details of this contract are being kept secret and of course no talk about who pocketed the Commissions on this deal...

Sri Lanka doesn't have a way out - airbus will easily win in court.

More huge losses coming up - that's the only thing that's 100% certain!
Always fly a stable approach - it's the only stability you'll find this business

HiFly A332 (CS-TFZ) has been parked in Brussels since 9-Oct after lease to Garuda. Do you know who is going to lease this aircraft next?

Any idea why 4R-MRE is not flying since 02-Oct? Is it undergoing end of lease checks? When UL is going to take delivery of 4R-AND? What is the reason for delay in delivering 4R-AND?

4R-ALC will be back to service in next couple of days ... C Check is almost done.
MRE is undergoing a C check which is not the redelivery check ...

I'm not sure about the delivery of AND

Looks like it will position to Beja today. No idea what it will do next.
