Air China is going to fly Chengdu - Colombo flights onboard A320 instead of A330. Flight time : 5hrs 50mts.

I believe this is the first time Air China flying on A320 to CMB?

Just in time to cater for Hajj, however a few who I know who are embarking on Hajj are flying with Vistara via Mumbai, Oman Air, Salam Air and Jazeera Airways too

Sri Lanka invites India’s Alliance Air to fly to Ratmalana

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has invited India’s Alliance Air which is now flying to Jaffna to also extend the flight to Ratamalana in Colombo, Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said.

Alliance Air which is now flying to Jaffna’s KKS airport from Madras four times a week.

“I have requested that the frequency be increased to seven day, and same flight to also come to Ratmalana, and if possible, also to Mattala,” Minister de Silva told parliament.

He did not say whether the airline would be allowed to carry passengers within the airports.

This is a joke Politician planning the route for the airline ! Very interesting he suggested Alliance Air to fly MAA-JAF-RML-HRI.

Why on earth passenger from MAA have to fly RML via JAF in the 3/4 hours flight.

UL cancelled MAA flight due to shortage of passengers at the Chennai airport on Thursday.

Air Serbia has said it is looking into long-haul leisure routes it could operate during the winter months, however, the airline noted it is primarily targeting less served destinations. The carrier expects to take delivery of its third Airbus A330-200 jet before the start of the 2023/24 winter season, and a fourth will likely follow shortly after.
