However As per the Winter schedule DAC frequency is increased, from 2 weekly to 3 weekly flights. Time was changed and flight number was changed from 8D911/2 to 8D931/2.
No any frequency changes in CMB DXB CMB.

Hi WizzWaveSien, OQ is planning to resume CKG-CMB-MLE route from 8-Jan-25 with 3 weekly onboard A320.

CMB-MLE - 13:55-15:10-OQ2393-WED
CMB-MLE - 14:55-16:00-OQ2393-MON.FRI

MLE-CMB - 17:20-19:20-OQ2394-MON.FRI

CMB-CKG - 20:25-04:30+1-OQ2394-MON.WED.FRI

notsure what made OQ to keep CMB/MLE route away this long.

Few more route network changes

AI have reduced MAA-CMB flights from 10 weekly to 7 weekly recently.

HM is going to increase SEZ-CMB flights from 2 to 3 weekly between 02-Jul-25 to 29-Aug-25.

As we posted here before TK is going to increase IST-CMB flights from 7 weekly to 9 weekly from Jul-25. But TK is going to do further increase on IST-CMB from 9 weekly to 10 weekly from end-Oct-25.

Little correction on your statement on A7-APC, This particular A380 was supposed to fly from DOH-SYD, but due to lightning strike or bad weather (Please correct if i am wrong), Aircraft Landed at BNE, then the crew was changed as per the regulations and return crew operated the BNE-SYD flight and then SYD to DOH, but that crew has operational time limitations, bcz of that Crew was needed to be changed at CMB and Third crew operated the CMB - DOH flight. Correct me if I am wrong!

Yes 9 weekly to DXB, those timings are not actually as planned, 8D827 was supposed to be 8D823 morning flight, but because of slot availability and bargaining power of other strong airlines, 8D could not secure the morning slot at DXB as 8D823.

For your question on DAC flight number, if the flight timing is changing due to various factors, (may be because of decisions by commercial, Season, or Connecting flights, agreements with other airlines ) flight number should be changed accordingly, (Simply, if the slot changes, flight number should be changed)

any details on registration/msn of upcoming two A320s are going to join Air Ceilao fleet?

Air Ceilao needs to acquire one more A320 aircraft so in case one plane is down then do not disturb schedule.

Currently only one train between Colombo and Jaffna. Need desperate help from airlines to start colombo-jaffna domestic flight.

Maybe a regional service with (say) ATRs? But I'm not sure if many would will to go by Air to jaffna and thus the feasibility is kind of questionable.

I feel like they would benefit with A319s and A220s, it seems more feasible on my opinion, only thing that needs to happen is an insane price reduction on these routes. I feel like there would be alot of demand on the CMB-JAF sector.

in the case of the new airline, I think the A319 is somewhat better because it has a common cockpit(and type rating) to the A320(which they're going to operate) and the a220 is another type.
prices definitely need to be comparable to that of the already existing mode(trains) of going to Jaffna
would it be better to do CMB-JAF or RML-JAF?
