Mihin Lanka used to operate on B737 in the past but that was a wet-leased aircraft (ACMI). As umedhah said earlier, Mihin Lanka doesn't have the capt/crew who have got experience on Boeing B737, if I am not mistaken. I heard Mihin Lanka has plans to transfer 4R-MRC (A321), 4R-MRD (A321) and 4R-MRE (A320) to SriLankan Airlines. A321 is a good choice for SriLankan Airlines though!

I dont understand.. if those 3 320s are aging for MJ, it will be same for UL right?? UL is more well reputed hence shouldn't be using aging a/c...

maybe dey will hire some foreign pilots until the local ones r done with der training...........dats wat they did in bangladesh when BG gt their new 773ER

Why re-invent the wheel when UL / MJ have the end to end infrastructure for A320/A321 operation already in place.

The sensible thing to do would be to transfer the MJ aircraft to UL and close the shop. One hemorrhaging airline is enough!

I thought exactly the same!! SriLankan Airlines could configure few A320s with All Economy Class to serve Low-cost market like Jakarta, Dhaka, Sharjah and Bahrain.

Thanks Channa, Now I understand 4R-ALC is in service but Flightradar24 not catching the aircraft-movement correctly.

Well that's a poor decision. Since most of our engineers are rated for Airbus aircrafts, not Boeing. We'd probably have to get engineers and technicians for Boeing

So 4R-ADA didn't had a severe tail strike, it's just a scratches at the rear end. Rumoured to be 4R-ADA had a hard-landing which caused a problem for the landing-gear as well.

And for Landing Gear - it should have been a hard landing .. auto land gone wrong ?

I mentioned it sometime ago .. and TR is starting new routes, like RGN ..

BTW, TR did confirm the SIN-CMB route is too crowded, thanks to EK, UL (with it's massively undercut prices), CX, etc for the low end / Y class, and SQ crowding the upper end - a market which TR doesn't compete anyway ..
