Hey guys some guy has added the B777-300ER to Srilankan Airlines Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SriLankan_Airlines). It says that Srilankan Airlines will take 6 of them.
Is it true or is it a fake?Comment

Quite unlikely. Wikipedia is hardly credible when it comes to things like this. I can always edit it to tell that UL will take delivery of 6 A380s. Plus, Boeing's official O&D shows no new 777 orders this week, although this could always be announced later. So SriLankan must be currently short on aircraft as 4R-ABH left the fleet and 4R-ADC is at the C-Check from 19-Sep until mid of October 2011. I think 4R-ABG or J also leaving the UL fleet in Nov-Dec 2011 after completing the lease-period. Has anyone got any update on 4R-ABN / O ?

Sri Lankan launches flights to Moscow: Establishing a landmark in Sri Lanka’s aviation history, SriLankan Airlines made its maiden flight to Moscow, with a twice-weekly scheduled service between Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport on September 17. A multi religious ceremony was held at the Bandaranaike International Airport to invoke blessings on the first flight with members of the SriLankan’s senior management being present. Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Vladimir P Mikhaylov, was also present. One of the passengers at the boarding gates of UL 531, receiving a souvenir to mark the eventComment

I got some information that UL is evaluating to move wet leased Twin Otters to dry lease with possible expansions. There seems to be demand for the air taxi service lately.Comment
