These are all fantasy projects - no money for any of these things.

Very sad the way the country is going

I highly doubt India have business plan for taking 70% share on controlling HRI. India is taking share on HRI as India don't want China to control both the HRI & Mattala port.

India will make HRI successful in condition that...if the business plan includes that UL is not the sole ground handling entity and AASL has no say what so ever on the management and/or if IOC have Jet A1 business

This will make HRI very competitive against CMB

HRI is the wrong airport in the wrong place built for the wrong reasons.

Makes no difference who runs it imho - it is and will remain a complete failure.

I have my doubts about any deal with India.

When there is variance few hundred dollars on ticket price and price per weight for cargo...things will change?

This has already been tried - FlyDubai paid basically no landing/handling fees. Even with this they couldn't make the route work.

and FlyDubai did not carry Cargo...with technically Chinese takin over port and if Indian taking over HRI things "could" be different. In Sri Lanka private enterprise every time works better than any GOSL entities.

With all due respect without any flights it can never be profitable - no matter who is in charge.

There's virtually no infrastructure -how on earth are they going to handle cargo?

Nobody wants to fly there - it's as simple as that.

Sounds like the Indians are too smart to get involved in this fiasco.
