JNB in Africa & I think UL operating enough destinations in China so it's better if they can increase the frequencies according to demand instead of adding new destinations.

China.. UL flies to PEK, PVG and CAN,, those are main Chinese cities.. Dunno where else we could fly. Other cities may not have a load adequate to fill an A330? May be fly to Xian , Cheng du,Shenzhen via BKK on a A320.. But what frequency?.. Africa may be NBO and JNB? But route has to be properly planned. I believe why UL is eyeing Africa and China is because of the heavy China Africa traffic. When I travel inter Africa I am amazed at how many Chinese Nationals are on board these flights. Again as I said.. route has to be properly planned for it not be a disaster like the UL A340 flights to JNB which lasted only 3 months. Plus KQ and ET fly state of the art B777-300ER and B787-800 (or progressively introducing these Aircrafts) so UL has to make sure they use right A/C, manage yeilds and manage connections.

Last i heard it was Johannesburg and Nairobi. Transit traffic from India and China were primary feeders. Shorter travel times and cheaper flights were the reason and were looking at a local African partner. Ethiopian and South African Airways might be viable options!

SriLankan will be taking delivery of Six A330-343Es. It appears to be brand-new A333s 4R-ALL/M/N to replace ageing 4R-ADA/B/C by early 2015. However i doubt 4R-ADE/F/G will leave the fleet by the end of Dec 2015 when all the A333 deliveries complete for SriLankan.

I wish they will keep at least 1 four engined Aircraft since We have no 747's in the fleet.

4R-ADA/-B/-C will surely meet the scrapmen, they have to many flight hours. The other three could find a new home but I would doubt as nearly all recent A340 retirements resulted in storage since awaiting an uncertain future

My company added 2 ex EK A343 last year. They also bought msn 117. They are still good aircraft. They are very cheap to lease and in the Charter market the customer pays for fuel. The biggest problem is finding crews.

Has the new cabin work completed for 4R-ABR? When it will be delivered to Colombo?
