reduced PLFs on the 77L in the last few months?
Notsure about PLF on the Redwings HRI flights. But European charters always been operated only in Northern Winter Season (until end of March or April). But this year seems Redwings operated some charter to HRI also in Apr25.

Russian charter operations for season 2024/2025 are available in the below links :

Azur Air to CMB - https://www.lankaaviator.com/node/21?p=37320#post37320
    Redwings to HRI - https://www.lankaaviator.com/node/21?p=37911#post37911

Kindly note : Aeroflot is flying year-round flights to CMB. SVO-CMB 4/5 weekly x B773 during Northern winter seasons and SVO-CMB. 2 weekly x B773/A333 during Northern Summer season.

Sri Lanka will not host Russian charter flights during the off-season due to diminished demand and a lack of summer promotions, according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). The suspension, effective until October, follows the early termination of Red Wings Airlines’ winter charter programme to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) in early […]

    Is all 8D's Three A320s fleet have seat config of C8 Y 156 ?

Do you know how 8D performing on KUL flights ? I see SIN also on cards as new destination for 8D as per their website.
Yes, EXS went to HYD for an Engine Swap, since EXS was using EXR's port side Engine, and Came back CMB. Still EXR is on maintenance.

    Nop, completely incorrect,

    4R-EXS - 180 Y
    4R-EXQ - 8 J 150 Y (ETOPS)
    4R-EXR - 8 J 156 Y

8D's KUL performence is not the best but, it covers DOC (Direct Operating Costs) since Airline started KUL operations very recently. SIN is not in the queue, but CGK, RUH, BKK do.

apparently in planespotters.net, it suggests so, that all have C8Y156 configs.
edit: this is also apparently not true as MAW pointed out.

it appears to still be in bermudan rego(VP-BNX), because the tail letters aren't there yet.

    Greetings!

    Few updates on 8D :

4R-EXR is about arrive CMB after maintenance at GMR Aero Technic (HYD) within upcoming two weeks, and 4R-EXR and 4R-EXQ will operate on 8D flights and 4R-EXS will be going for Maintenance with GMR at HYD, after that 4R-EXS will operate ACMI flights for Salam air (OV @MCT).

Surprisingly, 8D added Business class (As per the airline) to KUL flights selling its 8 premium seats with portable IFE, meal (Which were available under ancillery services), and in near future for MLE flights as well.
But according to my opinion, 8D should avoid compete with Legacy carriers and Business class, instead selling those seats as Premium Economy since still the cabins, seats are old and cannot stand with UL and other legacy carriers.

However, it seems clear that he is on his way out as he was not part of the UL senior management delegation that met with the President. I think the government is doing the right thing but not privatizing the airline, but its a shame that they are bringing in a new CEO when Richard Nuttall helped the airline survive Covid and the foreign exchange crisis and brought it back to operational profitability.
I think transitioning to Boeing is too much of a stretch for UL at the moment. In my opinion 787s would be acceptable, but would be a real shame if they replaced A320s with 737s, since the former are so superior in every way.
