problem is the management maybe working hard/ sleeping on the wheel, but being a State owned carrier, the approvals take their sweet time and by the time its approved the aircraft would have found another home. Very Sad.
Agree, if going with Boeing, It should not be B737 Max jets, its should be B787-9s, B777 is too large and no requirement to operate such a big aircraft, UL needs to maintain separate Boeing and Airbus warehouses and Crew sets which complicating operations, so better to stick with Airbus for a while.
Some very younger A320-232WLs and A320-214WLs are there and few A330-243s are there as I heard. (Recently few airlines ceased their operations and declared bankruptcy)
UL can do something with its existing order of 4 Jets in Airbus order book, (As I mentioned : Converting it to A321-251Ns {Better} or A330-841s) but it may take time.
Boeing!! lovely aircrafts.. but wrong time for transformation... probably once UL is privatised againLeave a comment:

they could try wetleasing from other carriers to observe practicality.
something similar to what 6E does with 77Ws and 7M8sLeave a comment:

Question is about Capital investment to get (Purchase/ Dry lease) B787s (Not Rolls Royce 1000, should be General Electric) (Spare Engines, Simulator, Toolkits and Accessories, Crew Training) and the time to get jets!Leave a comment:

Indeed, weather around CMB getting worse due to the depression happening around the Bay of Bengal, possibly for it to expand into a cylonic storm in the coming days.👍 1Leave a comment:

Any chance SL gov wanted to get Boeing aircraft order as part of push to ease US tariffs?MAW:

I think there are a lot of ex-NK A320-232WLs being wfu from their fleet from a while now.
OG has some A320-251Ns stored since its shutdown.
I do agree that they should not rush to operate boeing jets because of the great differences between aircraft of the 2 manufacturers.
getting brand new jets would take a long time in this period.
apparently i am not able to quote up a post, hence the manually applied quotation.
and after this now im able to do it again?Leave a comment:
